Welcome To The Loom House Mill

I have chosen the name Loom House Mill to reflect the weaving history of Wales, in the old days here in Wales we used to do our spinning in our homes and go to a community house to do our weaving, these houses were called Ty Gwydd in English that's loom house.

Solva Woolen Mill

Solva Woollen Mill (above) is a surviving Welsh Woollen Mill in a village about one mile from Solva in the county of Pembrokeshire,it has been in operation since 1907. This wonderful woollen mill claims to be the oldest working mill of its type in the county. There were 26 Pembrokeshire Woollen Mills by 1900 and today Solva Woollen Mill is one of the remaining that still turns.
